The gameplay follows the classic horizontal shoot 'em up formula, where you fly on your magical broom through obstacle-filled levels, showering enemies with powerful magical attacks. Besides her main weapon, Cotton also has special bomb attacks that destroy ground enemies and help you escape the most intense situations. Each level offers numerous enemies, impressive bosses, and constantly tests your reflexes and skills. One of the most interesting mechanics in the game is the magic crystal system. Defeated enemies drop yellow crystals that can be shot before being collected to change their color. Each color enhances a different element of your magical abilities, allowing you to gradually develop your arsenal according to your preferred play style. Additionally, when your shots pass through the crystals and hit enemies, a special energy meter charges, unlocking the Willow Fever mode. The real challenge begins then. While in Willow Fever, collecting Willow candies activates the unique Over Tension mode – the game's trademark. In this mode, enemy attacks become even more intense and dangerous, but in return, you gain access to powerful hidden magic that significantly boosts your score. Mastering this risky but highly rewarding mode is the key to achieving the highest scores and mastering all the game's nuances.
