Cartridge change indicator
The filter jug is provided with a warning system for changing the SMART LIGHT LED type cartridge, placed on the cover. The BRITA Smart Light LED will indicate in due time when you need to replace the filter (depending on the time and the amount of filtered water).
MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge replacement
We recommend replacing the MAXTRA PRO cartridge every 4 weeks or 150 l of filtered water. After the recommended time has expired, remove the filter jug lid, carefully remove the funnel, then, remove the cartridge.

How does water filtering process actually work?
In a simple way! Through a relatively rapid process, but not superficial at all, thanks to the four basic components of the MAXTRA PRO cartridge.
The first sieve prevents coarse particles from entering the cartridge;
Carbon micro-granules resulting from coconut reduce chlorine and other organic substances that can affect taste and smell of the drink;
The ion-exchange resin retains metals such as copper and lead and reduces limescale deposits.
For a final filtration, water passes through a final sieve that retains even the finest unwanted particles, being 4 times more efficient than MAXTRA+.
